Emergency Prescription Requests

Emergency prescriptions are for urgent medications needed within 24 hours to prevent serious health risks. These include:
Epilepsy medication
Insulin for diabetes
Inhalers for asthma/COPD
Emergency contraception
EpiPens for severe allergies
This does NOT include routine prescriptions ordered late.
Please note:

✔ Routine repeat prescriptions require 48 working hours to process.
✔ It is your responsibility to order repeat prescriptions on time.
Our team is here to help, but we kindly ask that you respect our staff and plan ahead for regular medication needs.
For urgent requests, contact us immediately. For routine refills, please allow sufficient time.

How to order a non-repeat prescription

For medications you’ve had before:
You can request another prescription if a doctor has previously prescribed it for your ongoing condition. Please include:
The reason for your request
A contact number (in case the doctor needs to discuss it with you)
Processing times:

Why does it take 48 hours to process a repeat prescription request?

Prescription Clerk Checks Your Records
Verifies if the medication is on your repeat list.
Prepares the request for the doctor.

Doctor Reviews Your Request
Confirms the medication is still suitable for you.
Makes changes if needed (e.g., dosage or alternatives).

Admin Team Prepares Your Prescription
Files it for collection once approved.

Possible Delays:
Requested medication is not on your repeat list.
The request differs from your current prescription.
The doctor needs to adjust your treatment.
To avoid delays, ensure your request matches your repeat medications.
